    * Jailolo: sultanate on the island of Halmahera in North Maluku. Formerly the main royal Jailolo in 1322, but in 1380, Ternate held sway over the island.
     * Jambi: kingdom covering an area of 53.206 km ² in southern Sumatra, founded in 1690 and occupied the Netherlands in 1901.
